Although Lena started out writing paranormals (a genre she still
loves!), her current passion is romantic suspense. You can read an
excerpt of her first romantic suspense, HE KILLS ME, HE KILLS ME
NOT, on this website. She is currently working on her second RS,
DEADLY WITNESS. Forgiveness and redemption are favorite themes in
all of Lena’s novels.
Lena’s father was in the Navy, which
means she moved a LOT. She was born in Kentucky then moved to
California and Louisiana before eventually settling in North
Florida. Today she lives with her husband, two children, the
family sheltie, and psycho kitty in Saint Augustine.
When she isn’t writing her latest
novel, she enjoys reading (big surprise) and watching movies (can
you say – couch potato?) Her favorite authors include Julie
Garwood, Kay Hooper, Linda Howard, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Tracy Montoya,
and Gail Ranstrom.

Meagan Turner overhears a conversation she was never meant
to hear. Suddenly she’s working with the FBI, under
twenty-four hour guard by the US Marshals, and testifying
against a mob boss. But doing the right thing comes with a
high price. She sacrifices her career, her rent-controlled
apartment, and even her boyfriend when she assumes a new
identity in the Witness Protection Program.
Ryan Jackson is a decorated
green beret, but he would trade every medal he has for a
chance to turn back time and save the men who died under his
command in Afghanistan. Every night he hears their screams
as the bombs go off. Every day he fights the lingering pain
of a shattered leg that won’t ever let him forget his doomed
mission.
When Meagan moves next door to
Ryan, sparks fly. Literally. A mole in the US Marshal’s
Service leaks Meagan’s location to the mob and they burn her
house down, with her in it. Ryan barely gets her out in
time. Not knowing whom to trust, Meagan is forced to turn to
Ryan, and together they’re on the run from the mob and the
US Marshals. After a close call, Ryan starts to wonder
whether their enemies are really after Meagan, or whether
he’s the real target.
